Customer Reviews

Originally I loved this saw for the cutting power at a good price. I also liked its light weight. The motor is still good, but after only a few hours of run time (total time the saw was actually cutting something)the blade kept popping out in the middle of a cut. When this first started I could hold down the release lever and keep cutting for a while. Eventually that no longer worked and the blade would fly out with every minor grab on the back stroke. Before writing this I read a review of the Porter-Cable 8.5 Amp reciprocating saw and that person had the opposite problem with the blade release mechanism--he couldn't get the blade out. There must be a flaw in the design.
