It doesn't look like much, but take this little saw in hand and get to work, and you'll be as impressed as we are. First off, it's quality construction, everything from the comfortable, soft-grip handle to the same rugged, heavy-duty steel Quik-Lok clamp you'll find on Milwaukee's famous Sawzall recip saws. Blade change is as quick and easy as a twist of the thumb and index finger. The beauty of this little saw is that it will go anywhere and get into places a big, hungry recip saw can't. Just stock up on 1/2-inch tang recip saw blades and you'll be set. It's perfect for small cuts, delicate jobs and for the little tasks you don't want to haul your recip saw out for. Every homeowner and contractor ought to have one of these. --Kris Jensen-Van Heste

Keyhole, Schmeehole. This accessory crushes the competition. Along with the saw, I bought the milwaukee Sawzall blade set that has a multitude of blades and I've used every one of them in the 8 months that I've had the tool. It's just so easy to pull out and pop on a blade of choice and take care of a problem. For grins and giggles I threw on an aggressive blade and cut through a 2X4 fast enough to realize that I can do it if I'm away from my tools and not be slowed down. Oh, and the threading on the end of the saw that allows for an extension such as a broom handle to be attached is icing on the cake. Buy it. It's of sturdy construction, and even if you only every use it as a keyhole saw, you will have made a wise buy.

This has a much more sturdy handle then I expected. Not like other brands I've looked at. It holds the blades in place very well and it's design is comfortable to hold ; use. The threaded end for attaching an extension pole looks like it may be a weak point. The plastic is a little thin and looks as if it may not take the kind of force you would apply on an extension pole, but in their defense I haven't tried to use it that way. I feel Milwaukee once again has earned their reputation for building quality hand tools. I would highly recommend it.

Customer Reviews

I purchased these to go with the Makita saws-all I bought. I needed a selection of various wood and metal blades. They cut well (for me) and were what I was looking for at the time.

The blades cut great, but with the bucking you usually get from a sawsall, they bend really easily! I've already thrown away 3 with very little usage. I don't have much to compare them too, but I sure hope all blades aren't like these!

Milwaukee 0719-22 V28 Sawzall Lithium Ion Cordless Reciprocating Saw Kit

Product Description

Amazon.com
The Milwaukee Sawzall has been the reciprocating saw of choice for professional contractors since 1951, and that’s not going to change anytime soon. The latest member of the legendary Sawzall line, the new Milwaukee 0719-22 Sawzall V28 Lithium Cordless Reciprocating Saw Kit, takes the cutting power, performance and reliability pro users and serious do-it-yourselfers have come to expect from Milwaukee, and combines it with the added bonus of cut-anywhere cordless convenience.
The 0719 Sawzall is powered by a 28-volt Lithium-Ion battery that weighs less than a standard 18-volt Ni-Cad battery, yet delivers twice the run time. As a result, you can cut faster and longer with less fatigue and fewer battery changes. The tool weighs just 9.4 pounds with the battery installed. And the batteries are reversible, a feature that’s exclusive to Milwaukee tools. They can slide on from either direction, which allows you to counterbalance the tool’s weight depending on the battery placement.
The saw’s variable-speed motor has two speed ranges: 0-2,000 strokes per minute (spm), and 0-3,000 spm, allowing you to choose the most efficient cutting speed for the job. And the tool’s superior 1 1/8-in. blade stroke ensures fast cutting with less motor strain. Other performance-enhancing features found on the 0719 include the Quik-Lok blade clamp for tool-free blade changes, a keyless shoe adjustment, soft-grip handle that dampens fatigue-producing vibration, and a gear-protecting clutch for improved durability. And each battery is equipped with an illuminated "fuel" gauge, so you’ll know when recharging is necessary.
When fitted with the appropriate blade, the saw will cut through virtually any building material, including wood, drywall, plaster, asphalt roof shingles, plastic pipe, nail-embedded wood, copper tubing, fiberglass and most metals. A reciprocating saw is an indispensable tool for demolition work, remodeling projects, new-home construction, deck building, plumbing and electrical jobs, and heating and air conditioning installations. --Joseph Truini

From the Manufacturer
The Milwaukee 0719 Cordless V28 Sawzall Reciprocating Saw uses a high powered Milwaukee built motor to deliver faster cutting and performance. Powering the 0719 is the revolutionary 28 Volt Lithium-Ion battery pack, exclusively from Milwaukee. The 28 Volt battery pack weighs less than an 18 Volt pack, yet delivers two times the run-time, making this the ideal solution in cordless reciprocating saws. The battery is positioned so that it does not interfere with plunge cutting capabilities. This Sawzallsaw has a 1-1/8 in. stroke length that delivers speed. The variable speed trigger delivers two levels of speed range: 0-2000 spm for metal cutting and other hard materials and 0-3000 spm for cutting in wood and other materials encountered. The gear protecting clutch protects the tool against impact, delivering on the legendary Sawzall durability. The keyless shoe adjustment allows for better control in cutting and longer blade life. The Quik-Lok blade clamp makes changing blades a snap. A comfortable non-slip soft grip handle provides a better gripping surface and reduces vibration and operator fatigue.

Customer Reviews

I own two Milwaukee corded sawzalls and their main use is for heavy demolition. We have five sawzalls (all Milwaukee) within our crew all together and they're all handled pretty roughly, yet they last though whatever you throw at them. I was pretty uneasy about the idea of a cordless sawzall back when the 18v was the most powerful cordless available... I doubted it could ever keep up with a corded sawzall.
When Milwaukee came out with their V28 line, I purchased the hammer drill and was outright shocked at how much more powerful it was then the 18v I had. After a month of use, I decided the pick up the V28 sawzall too. The very first day, I knew I had a winner. Although when cutting out old, extra-thick studs, you can feel a difference in power between the corded and cordless, the V28 sawzall definitely held its own and didn't lock up once. Just before lunch, I was cutting through a pipe and the sawzall seemed to suddenly die. At first, I thought I broke the thing, but quickly realized that the battery charge ran out. When they say that the power lasts until the very last minute, they REALLY mean it.
Another thing I love about the V28 line is the battery charge meter. I find it very useful to be able to take a quick look and find which of my batteries could use a charge, rather then finding out when you need them. It's a feature I'm finding more and more useful.
The only disappointment is the case that comes with the kit... it'll hold a third battery if you were to purchase one, but it doesn't have enough room between everything to hold extra blades. The compartment they have in the case is about half the size of the one in the corded sawzall case I have, so I can carry less blades. I wish they would go back to the metal cases, but since that's unlikely, all I can hope for is that they'll work more room into the cases for extra accessories.
The sawzall is one of my most used tools, particularly when first starting a job when demolition is most needed. Being free from the cord outshines the power difference that the corded models have over the V28 sawzall. Although I won't be getting rid of my corded sawzalls yet, the V28 certainly is, and will continue to be, my top choice. I think Milwaukee finally got them to the point where their shortcomings will be completely overlooked and a cordless sawzall will be as common as the cordless drill.
UPDATE: I've been using this on the job for well over a year now and it has seated itself as one of the most important tools on site. Unless a second sawzall is needed, the corded sawzalls aren't even unloaded from the trucks anymore. It has more then enough power to tackle ANY job we've needed it for... only slightly outpowered by the 11-amp models, but clearly more powerful then the 6-amp models. The fact that we can move around without being tethered down by a cord has made this everyone's favorite.
It's absorbed drops from as high as 10 feet onto plywood flooring without skipping a beat, and there's been no noticeable decline in performance from the batteries (comparing them to a battery I just recently bought). I still don't like the case though.
I highly recommend this tool to anyone needing a sawzall for professional use.

I own 4 cordless recip saws and hands down by far this is the most powerful. Not only does the battery last a long time but the dual speed makes it work in all applications. Hands down this is the best!

Customer Reviews

I bought this as a part of a package deal with a hammer drill and two batteries. At the time, I was more interested in the drill but have since used the Hackzall far more often.
I was skeptical about the durability of this tool and the life of the batteries given the way I've used it. I have to say, it's exceeded my expectations every time I use it! The tool is balanced and easy to use with one hand, although I tend to use both hands most times.
I have used this tool (and many blades) to cut up an entire car in a storage space that does not have power available. I managed to get the car cut into 3' x 3' pieces in three days (2 batteries used per day). Given all of the reinforced metal in a car, I'd say that's impressive!
The batteries are very durable and tend to last quite a while under continual use and they charge up pretty fast. The only downside is that they are expensive (but have a great warranty).
Overall, I'm impressed with this tool (and the drill) and will more than likely buy additional M18 tools and a couple of batteries.

It's a very good tool it works very well, I'm an electrician and I use it to cut electrical mettalic tube on the job, it beats using a hack saw or using the big reciprocating sazall.

Customer Reviews

While I've not had the opportunity to cut with my new Sawzall, it seemed important to pass along the fact that the warranty is MUCH DIFFERENT for refurbished Milwaukee tools.
Their standard warranty is 5 years That seems excellent and probably well worth the small price premium over the refurbished tools which come with a 1 year warranty.
While 1 year is not horrible, it is surely not the same as a 5 year warranty.
Warranty length aside, my saw looks brand new and unused! Inside the new looking case was a new looking saw, set of instructions, warranty page explaining the shortened warranty on refurbished Milwaukee tools and a single metal cutting blade (not the two blades promised).

New case, and lightly used very clean looking saw. This saw is heavy and powerful compared with other reciprocating saws. I first used it to cut some heavy steel pipe and it went through it very quickly at half speed. Its probably overkll for me but I'll never be wanting a more powerful reciprocating saw.

I used saw for dozen jobs cutting both metal and wood. It has sufficient power for extended cuts. Bought this as a reconditioned unit and for $50.00 it was a steel compared to other models.

I bought this after spending many hours researching for a Sawzall. This tool has all the features of the expensive saws but without the price tag. The seller ships super fast and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Looks brand new. I already used the saw to cut metal ; wood on the first day, plus has the orbital feature. Be smart buy this ; make sure you have the right blade for cutting.

Customer Reviews

Impressive workhorse in a small package. Tool is easily as aggressive as my corded Milwaukee Sawzall but offers the opportunity to hold and steady the piece you're working on with one hand, while sawing with the other. I've had the tool only a few weeks. Used it first to cut up some old metal objects for removal and recycling from an old dump in the woods on our property. Later cleaned it up and used it as a 'meat saw' to butcher two pigs. Now that's versatile! My only criticism? I wish it came with a backup battery in the initial purchase or that extra batteries were more affordable. Single battery purchases are prohibitively expensive.

I bought this tool to help cope with massive tree damage from a recent too early snow storm. Cordless was essential, as was one-hand operation. The tool has been a godsend. It easily cuts through branches up to three inches in diameter, including oak, apple and bradford pear hardwoods, though it's best on one and two inch diameters. It is well balanced and comfortable to use with leather gloves. I can even use it overhead without problems. I'm getting a couple hours use out of a charge, depending on how much cutting I'm doing, and that feels about right to me. Charging is surprisingly quick. The battery can be difficult to unmount from the tool, but that's hardly a big drawback. I'm pleased with the product. I have about two more weeks of cleanup to do and if the thing survives this ordeal, I'll definitely look at other Milwaukee products when it's time to replace older shop and yard tools.
